Israel Strikes 100 Hezbollah Targets Amid Escalating Tensions.

In its most extensive airstrikes on southern Lebanon since the outbreak of conflict in Gaza, Israel has targeted and destroyed at least 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers. The strikes, which began around 9 PM on Thursday, are part of a broader military campaign as fears of an all-out war in the region escalate.

Israel's recent attacks come in the wake of earlier strikes that destroyed Hezbollah communication devices, resulting in 37 deaths and wounding over 3,000 people. Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah responded by accusing Israel of "crossing all red lines," warning that such actions could be interpreted as a declaration of war.

In response to the escalating violence, U.S. President Joe Biden has called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, expressing concern over the potential for further escalation. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized that military operations against Hezbollah would continue, stating that "significant opportunities and risks" lie ahead.

Meanwhile, the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon has urged all parties to de-escalate, noting an increase in hostilities along the Israeli-Lebanese border. The situation remains tense, with fears that ongoing military actions could spiral into a larger conflict.
