Kristin Cavallari has shared her thoughts on her recent breakup with 24-year-old influencer Mark Estes, expressing that he will eventually appreciate her decision to end their relationship. The former "Hills" star, now 37, called off the romance just seven months after it began, citing long-term compatibility concerns.
In a recent episode of her podcast "Let’s Be Honest," Cavallari elaborated on the reasons behind their split. "Mark and I broke up," she stated. "It’s tough because I know long-term it’s not right for us. It’s not about any love lost or a bad incident; it’s just a realization."
Cavallari emphasized that their split was amicable, clarifying that there was no infidelity or harsh words exchanged. "He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had," she shared, adding that she felt a growing awareness of their age difference. "He’s young and needs to experience life. Looking back at 24, I realize how much I grew during those years. They're formative, and he deserves that time."
The pair met through social media in September 2023 and started dating in February 2024. Cavallari acknowledged the 13-year age gap, explaining it was something she was always conscious of. "Despite that, our relationship was very healthy and mature," she reflected.
Looking ahead, she believes that Estes will eventually find happiness and build a beautiful family of his own. "One day, I think he’ll look back and thank me for this. He will make someone very happy," she said. Although Cavallari is hopeful for his future, she hinted that it might take time for him to gain the same perspective.
Cavallari expressed no regrets about their relationship, stating, "I don’t regret going public with him or introducing him to my kids. I’ll always look back at our time together fondly."
As she navigates her return to single life, Cavallari made it clear that she’s not interested in dating right now. "I’m focusing on my kids and my work," she noted, prioritizing self-care. "Right now, I just want to feel good and make myself a priority," she added, suggesting that romance is not currently on her agenda.
In closing, Cavallari remains optimistic about the lessons learned from her relationship with Estes, emphasizing the importance of growth and self-discovery. "Every relationship teaches you something, and I’ll always cherish the happy memories we created together," she concluded.
